Mustang Gains On Eclipse

While development of Cessna’s Mustang entry-level jet appears to be slightly ahead of schedule, Eclipse Aviation has announced another delay in getting its revolution-starting very light jet (VLJ) to market.

Excel-Jet To Relocate Sport-Jet Production Line

Excel-Jet is to produce its Sport-Jet single-engined very-light jet (VLJ) in Guthrie, Oklahoma, after securing a $3-5 million package of incentives from local and state governments. It plans to complete and fly its proof-of-concept (PoC) Sport-Jet at Colorado Springs before moving to Guthrie next year.

Very Light Jets: Can They Share The Airlines’ Airspace?

Eclipse Aviation Moves Ahead

Eclipse Aviation has received type inspection authorisation (TIA) from the US Federal Aviation Administration on the Eclipse 500 very light jet (VLJ), increasing prospects that the aircraft could be certificated by the end of March 2006.

Spectrum Aeronautical Unveils The Newest Entry To VLJ Market

Start-up Spectrum Aeronautical of Encinitas, Calif., joined the crowded very light jet segment last month when it unveiled a nine-seat, $3.65 million all-composite VLJ at the NBAA Convention.
